This introduction to mental health awareness training session is for those who wish to increase their knowledge and understanding of the mental health continuum whilst exploring mental health, mental ill-health, and emotional wellbeing. We will explore how mental ill-health can impact upon a person and how stigma can hinder people from reaching out and accessing support. The session will identify the importance of reaching out and how to facilitate a conversation around mental health using the MECC (Making Every Contact Count) approach to enable this. We will also discuss the crisis pathway of support and how to signpost to appropriate services and information. Underpinning this session is the importance of investing in our own wellbeing. This session is 2.5 hours in duration.
Please note that there will be a £50.00 charge for any non-attendance, non completion of the full course, or not having cancelled your space within 7 days from the date of required attendance.
