Sunderland Volunteer Coordinators' Network

What is the Volunteer Co-ordinator's Network?
This peer support network is for those responsible for engaging, managing and supporting volunteers within a Voluntary Community or Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisation in Sunderland. The network is made up of professionals who are specifically hired to oversee the volunteer programme, and volunteers with responsibility for other volunteers, including Trustees.

Purpose of the Network

To support a stronger, more effective and resilient voluntary sector in Sunderland by encouraging best practice and providing opportunities for volunteer professionals in shared learning and collaboration, as well as advocating for the value of volunteering and volunteer professionals.

Meetings

Meetings are held approximately 3 times / year in different community locations across the borough.  Each meeting will focus on a different theme, issue or trend and members are encouraged to identify areas of interest so that meetings are informed by the sector.

If you would like to join and receive invitations to meetings please contact:

Marie Wisson, Community & Corporate Volunteering Coordinator: marie.wisson@sunderlandvsa.co.uk / 07350 392 620.
